Dean of the Faculty of Marine Engineering, Maritime University of Szczecin announces a competition for the position of a professor at the Institute of Marine Electricall Engineering and Automation, the Department of Automation and Robotics, in a scientific discipline: "Automation and Robotics".
Robotics Laboratory Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Maritime University of Szczecin, enriched by a new Mitsubishi robot RV-1A. The robot was purchased with funds from the European Union under the project "Development and promotion of technical courses at the Maritime University of Szczecin" conducted under the direction of Prof. Zbigniew Matuszak.
On 06.05.2011 took place the opening ceremony of a new training center in the Fachhochschule Flensburg, attended by representatives of the Maritime University of Szczecin: Prof. C. Behrendt and P. Treichel, PhD l.
30.06.2011 at the Faculty of Marine Engineering at the Maritime University of Szczecin, the project "Authorized AutoCAD Training”, financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund, was completed. It should be noted that the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Institute of Fundamental Technical Sciences is the only authorized Autodesk training center in Western Pomerania

Wärtsilä Company in collaboration with the Faculty of Marine Engineering of the Maritime University of Szczecin is organizing a two-day seminar for staff and students.

BSR InnoShip – Program, covering the Baltic states, aiming at the reduction of ship emission based on knowledge and innovation with its main objective of enhancement of common policy of environmental protection and economic management of the Baltic Sea as a core of the political engagement and common activity for the sake of reducing air pollution and optimizing the Baltic shipping competitiveness.


A new website containing physics laboratory classes, lectures and other teaching materials of the Chair of Physics has just been launched. Its objective is to ease the Maritime University of Szczecin students’ preparation for their classes of physics.
On 01.02.2011 at 11.00 in the meeting hall of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Poznan University of Technology Maciej Kozak, MSc, the Department of Marine Electrical Engineering and Electronics staff member’s public doctoral defense of a dissertation entitled ‘Controlling the marine net cellular induction generator with the changing rate of the shaft rotation’ was held.
The Chairman of the State Accreditation Commission, Prof. Marek Rocki, by the decision of 09.12.2010 called two of our workers to the group of experts specializing in the field of Mechanics and Machine Construction:

During the last three months of 2010 at the Faculty of Marine Engineering two promotional and informative meetings were held. Moreover, a group of French secondary school students visited our university.

In November 2010 our university took the honor to host Friedlich Lautert GmbH & Co.KG representatives, who presented measuring devices and led a two - day training for the MU students as well as the invited guests.
On 06.12.2010 in the Hall of the Senate, MU of Szczecin a seminar on simulation programs of LMS International from Belgium was held. The seminar was organized by the MU Institute of Marine Electrical Engineering and Automation and EC Test Systems Ltd. from Cracow.
The Tadeusz Sendzimir medal of honor for Prof. Wojciech Przetakiewicz Due to the petition of the chapter of the State Council of the Association of Polish Inventors and Rationalizers, Mr. Prof. Wojciech Przetakiewicz has been awarded with the Tadeusz Sendzimir medal of honor for his scientific innovative achievements in the field of materials engineering.
On 21-23.06 2010, Prof. Cezary Behrendt, MU and Prof. Andrzej Adamkiewicz, MU, participated in the 10th Scientific-Technical Conference “Gas Market 2010”, traditionally organized by the Editorial Office of “Rynek Energii”(a magazine of 9 point score on the MNiSW list) in Kazimierz Dolny nad Wisłą.
