The World Maritime Days are an opportunity for meetings on the international level. Yet, there were also many opportunities for contacts with guests from Poland. On the occasion of this year's maritime conference, on Friday, 15th June, the Maritime University of Szczecin signed an agreement on cooperation with the Technical Secondary School of Inland Navigation in Wrocław.

The Academic Szczecin Championship Regatta were held on the Odra River last Saturday (16th June). This was the first sports competition of this type in the history of the region initiated by students of the Maritime University of Szczecin from the sailing section of the Academic Sports Association. It was held in the North East Marina on Grodzka Island on the Odra River.

The World Maritime Days - the maritime celebration of the United Nations, have finished. This year, they were held in Szczecin with the theme IMO 70: Our Heritage – Better Shipping for a Better Future.

Traditionally, at the end of the academic year, the Maritime University Club of the Academic Sports Association organised a meeting for the best students who received congratulation letters and prizes for sports achievements on the local and national arena.

In the period 5-8 June, the Polish Academic Sailing Championships were held in Wilkasy.

On 29.05, the navigation season was opened at the Heroes of Westerplatte Navigation School Complex in Kędzierzyn-Kożle.

Through scientific experiments, they will enter the world of ocean technology, navigation, physics and sailing. In the school year of 2018/2019, the West Pomerania children can expect great attractions.

Our rowers turned out to be the winners of the Szczecin Rowing League for the 21st time in a row.

On Monday, 4th June, we officially sealed the beginning of a very important cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering and Economics of Transport of the Maritime University of Szczecin and the Provincial Police Headquarters.

In 2018, it has been 20 years since the Polish flag first flew above the research and training vessel of the Maritime University of Szczecin - Nawigator XXI.

On 14th May, the West Pomerania Academic Championships in Beach Volleyball were held on Grodzka Island in Szczecin.

The ceremony of awarding grants to scientists in the 2nd call for proposals in the programme "Innovation Incubator+" was held on 10th May in the Senate Hall of the Maritime University of Szczecin.

The CantaRode festival was held in the period 10-13 May in the Dutch city of Kerkrade. The competitors included choirs e.g. from Canada, Belgium, the Netherlands, Russia and Poland.

The World Sea Days will be held in Szczecin in the period 13-15 June this year. In 2018, we are also celebrating the 70th anniversary of establishing the International Maritime Organisation – a dedicated organisation under the UN.

Among the participants of the 10th anniversary Photography Competition of the MUS Career Office there were not only students but also employees of companies and institutions which have supported the Competition for many years.
