The CantaRode festival was held in the period 10-13 May in the Dutch city of Kerkrade. The competitors included choirs e.g. from Canada, Belgium, the Netherlands, Russia and Poland.

The World Sea Days will be held in Szczecin in the period 13-15 June this year. In 2018, we are also celebrating the 70th anniversary of establishing the International Maritime Organisation – a dedicated organisation under the UN.

Among the participants of the 10th anniversary Photography Competition of the MUS Career Office there were not only students but also employees of companies and institutions which have supported the Competition for many years.

On 27.04.2018, students and employees of the Maritime University of Szczecin took part in the SSW Collegium Balticum Dean's Cup shooting competition. 

The Scientific Conference Sea Ports 2018 is already behind us...

The Laboratory of Logistics and Production Processes Automation was officially opened on 20 April. The hosts - the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Stanisław Iwan and Artur Kujawski, MA, the laboratory supervisor, received Minister Marek Gróbarczyk, the Rector, Professor Wojciech Ślączka, the MUS authorities as well as members of the Senate and Development Council of the Faculty - representatives of institutions and companies in the maritime and transport sector.

The International Ministerial Conference "Connecting by Inland Navigation" was held on 18 and 19 April in Wrocław.

On 14 April 2018, the Polish Academic Rowing Machine Championships were held in Warsaw.

An international project entitled "A Pan-European Network for Marine Renewable Energy with a Focus on Wave Energy", filed as a part of the COST programme, has obtained an approval. This is a networking action connecting over 100 participants from 25 countries.

We are glad to inform that, on 13.04.2018, there was a prize draw in the “Spring Language Competition”.

On 10April, Rector Wojciech Ślączka personally congratulated the team who, led by Magda Kosińska, worked on the application for co-financing within the New Horizons programme from the POWER project – financed from EU resources.

 "The Development Programme of the Odra River Waterway. New opportunities and challenges for local governments" - this is the subject of the 2nd consultation conference of local governments on the Odra River. A meeting of the representatives from the Ministry of Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation was held on 5th April 2018 at the Maritime University of Szczecin.

The theoretical module of the military training in the Academic Legion of the Maritime University of Szczecin has finished. On Saturday, 24 March, 49 participants, including 10 women, took the exam. All of them completed the exam successfully, thus, passing the theoretical part of the military training in the Academic Legion.

The Maritime University in Szczecin and Kongsberg Maritime Poland Sp. z o.o.  signed a framework agreement regulating the terms of cooperation in th earea of research, education and human resources.
