On Friday, 16th November 2018, the fifth shooting competition commemorating the 100th anniversary of Polish independence was held under the auspices of the Rector of the Maritime University of Szczecin, Wojciech Ślączka, DSc. Eng., Master Mariner, Professor of MUS.

The participants competed in two categories (female and male), using Glock 17, shooting a 23P target from the distance of 25m. The rivalry was preceded by shooting additional fire arms (Uzi, Ruger GP-100, Mossberg 500) and the prizes were handed in by Rector Wojciech Ślączka.

The winner in the female category was Edyta Świtalska, the second place was taken by Agnieszka Zięba and the third by Joanna Pleszko.

In the male category, following a fierce rivalry (all men got 78 points and what decided about the victory was the shots with the highest number), the winner was Leszek Seredyński, the second place was taken by Marek Matkowski and the third by Zenon Grządziel.
