Last October we informed that the Scientific Journals of the Maritime University of Szczecin was included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).
The Maritime University of Szczecin and the West Pomeranian Sailing Trail have signed a letter of intent as regards cooperation. The common ground is the specialisation of Yacht Port Operation offered by the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering, which is unique in Poland.

We hereby inform that the employee of our Institute, Ryszard Buczkowski, with the decision of the President of the Republic of Poland of 2nd December 2016, obtained the scientific title of the professor of technical sciences (discipline mechanics). The applying unit was the Institute of Fundamental Technical Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. The nomination was handed in on 11th January 2017.

In the period from 29th January to 4th February, the 4th meeting of the Sub-Committee of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) for Human Element, Training and Watchkeeping (HTW) was held in London. A representative of the Polish delegation in the work of this Sub-Committee was the Director of the Institute of  Marine Technologies, Professor Janusz Uriasz.

Representatives of the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering of the Maritime University of Szczecin decided to celebrate the quarter-century of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
"Chemical variations" and "Commodity Science Variations" are titles of classes organised at the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering especially for children from Primary School No. 61 in Szczecin.
Students from School Complex No. 1 in Stargard have spent the whole day visiting the Maritime University of Szczecin. They visited all faculties and the vessel.

We appreciate this award very much as well as the recognition of our commitment to continuous quality improvement of our quarterly. We hereby inform, that the quarterly Zeszyty Naukowe Akademii Morskiej w Szczecinie, Scientific Journals of the Maritime University of Szczecin following Decision No. 790/P-DUN /2016 of 17 June 2016 received funding for the years from 2016 to 2017 from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland for the activities of promoting science.
On 29.06.2016 at the Faculty of Navigation, the public defence was held of a doctoral dissertation in the field of technical sciences, discipline of transport of Kinga Łazuga, MSc. entitled: "The Model of Optimal Allocation of Oil Spill Response Resources and Measures"
SCORE - Scoreboard of Competitiveness of European Transport Manufacturing Industry is the title of a Horizon 2020 project which was approved for implementation by the European Commission. One of the project partners is the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering of Maritime University.
