ZJOU is one of 5 universities in China engaged in education of maritime staff with ca. 14 500 students, although not all of them are educated within this scope. Except for fields of study related to the sea, ZJOU also offers a wide range of other majors: from economics, arts and pedagogy to medicine. The university campus in Zhoushan city with its picturesque location on the Zhoushan Islands has a rich educational and scientific base as well as a range of facilities for students.
